On 22 August 2025, HimGra — DESCATUK’s wild-grass fibre innovation — received the Centre for Innovation in Public Systems (CIPS) award for "Sustainable Fiber Initiative for Climate Impact, Livelihoods and Innovations"- Uttarakhand by Honorable Governor of J&K Shri Manoj Sinha . More than a trophy, CIPS conducted a field validation (spot study) led by ex-Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand Mr. Indu Prakash, giving independent administrative validation to HimGra’s cultivation and community impact claims. The ceremony, attended by senior public servants and sector leaders, and HimGra’s inclusion in the CIPS Coffee Book, together deliver both authoritative proof and valuable content for brand storytelling.

What this award brings to brands
Independent, administrative verification: Field validation by Mr. Indu Prakash reduces sourcing risk — brands get a verified, third-party confirmation of cultivation practices and socio-economic benefits.
Faster procurement & pilot decisions: The CIPS endorsement shortens due diligence and makes brands more comfortable moving to pilots, exclusivity arrangements or offtake discussions.
Stronger sustainability claims: Brands can credibly cite independent validation when communicating sustainable provenance to consumers and auditors.
High-value marketing assets: Ceremony coverage and the CIPS Coffee Book visuals become premium content for product launches, campaigns, and B2B pitches.
Access to government & institutional networks: The award ceremony included senior officials — a gateway for brands to explore public procurement, state emporium placements, or tourism/hospitality collaborations.
Better CSR and impact partnership prospects: The recognition signals to CSR teams and HNIs that HimGra is impact-ready, improving chances of funding and long-term partnerships.

HimGra Pilot cultivation in Aug 2025 is soon open for Brand visit for Commercial Cultivation What this award brings to HimGra
Credibility to scale: Administrative field validation + continuing impact evaluation (J-PAL) + existing product validations (40+ brands) create a compelling case for bringing new brand partners into pilots and supply agreements.
Faster access to pilots & cultivation partners: Brands are more likely to sign up for the exclusive pilot options you’ve planned — shortening the path from samples to commercial orders.
Amplified storytelling & buyer outreach: Coffee Book placement, ceremony media, and testimonial trails give HimGra assets to present to buyers, investors, and trade shows.
Stronger hand in certification & procurement conversations: Independent validation lowers friction for certifications, government partnerships, and institutional buyers.
Leverage for fundraising and CSR matchmaking: The award makes HimGra a stronger proposition for CSR channelling and HNI/philanthropy outreach without diluting the community-first model.
